On 30 September 2015, a 20-year-old woman and her family fled their home due to fighting between government forces and Daesh. When they reached Marko Village in the Mulazim Talaw area of Achin District, Nangarhar Province, their vehicle struck an IED planted on the road. One civilian was killed and seven others were injured, including six children and one woman.
