On March 24, 2015, unidentified gunmen intercepted a bus traveling from Kabul to Kandahar in the Haft-Asiyab area of Sayed Abad District, Maidan Wardak Province. After conducting searches and interrogations, the assailants executed 13 passengers, including one woman, and injured two others. The motive and the identity of the perpetrators remain unknown.
