Summary of incident

On August 14, 2021, the first day the Taliban entered Ghor, Haji Din Mohammad and his son Mohammad Jan Muhaib were killed inside their home in Firoz Koh city. They were shot to death by Sediq, one of the Taliban commanders affiliated with Maulvi Abdul Hadi, who was then the Taliban provincial Head of the General Directorate of Intelligence (GDI). Following the incident, the Taliban collected 4 million Afghanis from the people as blood money for Haji Din Mohammad and his son.
