- Summary
On June 20, 2015, a tractor carrying three families struck a pressure-plated Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Marjah District of Helmand Province. The families were returning to their village after having fled due to ground engagement between Afghan Security Forces and Anti-Government Elements. The explosion killed sixteen civilians, including eleven women and three children, and injured seven others.
