Heavily armed Taliban militants attacked a residential house on June 26, 2022. Four individuals were detained and then summarily executed. Taliban officials said that the night raid was conducted to locate a former Taliban security official in the Lal wa Sarjangal region of Ghor Province. At least one of the executed individuals displayed evidence of torture on their body. Two further fatalities included a woman and a 12-year-old girl who were killed during the raid.
