On February 20, 2015, an employee of CHA, a local humanitarian organization, was killed in the area of Teemir Koprik along the Almar District Highway in Faryab Province, Afghanistan. The victim had been kidnapped a few days prior to the killing. No group claimed responsibility for the incident. Local residents attributed the killing to militants affiliated with the Taliban.
