On March 13, 2022, the body of Yar Mohammad, a former member of the Afghanistan now disbanded security forces, was found with his eyes tied with a garment in the village of Dara Ghazi, near Firuzkoh city, the center of Ghor province, Afghanistan. Reportedly Yar Mohammad was shot dead. The spokesperson for the Taliban security (Police) command in Ghor confirmed the incident but stated that Yar Mohammad was not a member of the previous security forces. To date, several former members of the security forces of the previous government have been mysteriously killed by unknown armed men in Ghor. Local people attribute these murders to the Taliban.
