Taliban forces hid in people's homes during the combat, causing civilians to flee their residences and expose themselves to gunfire. Three civilians died, including one woman, and three others sustained injuries, including two women and a girl. The civilian casualties occurred as residents were forced to leave their homes due to Taliban fighters using the structures for cover.
