A Kandahar Strike Force unit conducted a raid on the home of Mohammad Gul, the principal of the local primary school in Talokan village. During the operation, soldiers locked Gul's wife and daughters in a room before shooting the school principal three times, killing him. The forces then dragged his body out to the courtyard. According to witness accounts, the strike force appeared to have come from the nearby Gekho base. Five villagers were also arrested during the raid.
