Narrative: On February 6, 2015, a roadside mine exploded in Nawy Karez (also known as Karez Naw) in the Washer District of Helmand Province, Afghanistan. The blast targeted a van returning from a wedding ceremony. As a result of the explosion, two civilians were killed and three others were injured. The explosive device was allegedly planted by anti-government armed groups, primarily the Taliban, with the intention of targeting government officials and security forces personnel.
