On 3 November 2015, during an offensive attack by Afghan security forces to re-take Dasht-e-Archi district center, Kunduz Province, from Taliban fighters, an Afghan National Army helicopter repeatedly fired upon a residential area, killing a civilian man and injuring four others, including two children and a woman. Reportedly, the Afghan National Army struck the area due to a malfunctioning GPS system in the helicopter.
