Afghan Government and international forces were performing a clearing operation. Taliban forces fired on them from a residential home. USFOR-A conducted two airstrikes on the house. The strikes killed 15 civilians and injured five civilians, including three women and ten children. The civilians stayed in the home until the next afternoon. The Taliban allowed them to leave the area to receive medical care. USFOR-A conducted an investigation that confirmed the casualties and stated that they were unaware of the civilians inside.
