Upon entry to Yoltorob, the Taliban went to the village mosque, where they were fed. They then conducted a search of houses. They rounded up some 90 adult males from the village, and held them in the house of Hatam Bay. They then screened the detainees, releasing elders, and holding approximately 26 of the men. They detained them for one night in a house in the village. The next day, a group of five Taliban took the detainees to a site at Tatar village. They lined them up beside a ditch and then shot them.
