On March 26, 2022, thirty elderly individuals and school teachers from various areas of Jaghouri were arrested by Maulvi Moaz, the Jaghouri police chief, and Maulvi Anas, the District head of Taliban intelligence in Jaghuri. They were accused of possessing weapons. The detainees, none of whom had any prior experience of working or connection with the previous republic regime, were held by the Taliban for one day and night before being released on bail.
