Summary

On August 30, 2015, Anti-Government Elements ambushed an Afghan National Army (ANA) convoy passing through Karokhail and Yousefkhail villages in Saydabad district of Maidan Wardak Province. During the ensuing armed confrontation, two mortar rounds struck civilian homes. The impact resulted in the death of one girl and injured sixteen other civilians, including six boys, two girls, and seven women. The source of the mortar fire was not specified.
