Taliban forces used two vehicles laden with explosives to attack police headquarters in Kandahar City. Suicide bombers attempted to enter the headquarters but were shot and killed by security forces. Two police officers and nine civilians were killed in the assault, while 89 people were wounded, including four women and 11 children. Four trucks parked in the vicinity of the clash were destroyed, and the explosion shattered the doors and windows of nearby houses, causing extensive damage to civilian property.
