At least 16 civilians were killed in a complex attack targeting a construction company in Jalalabad. The assault began with a suicide explosion at the entrance of the construction company compound. Following the initial blast, four attackers wearing suicide vests entered the facility and opened fire on company employees. The incident prompted a firefight with Afghan security forces that lasted more than five hours. Nine additional civilians were wounded during the prolonged attack.
