A rickshaw detonated a pressure-plate improvised explosive device emplaced by Taliban forces. A 50-year-old civilian Imam was consequently killed and two other men were wounded, although the Taliban had warned locals not to use that particular road. The incident occurred despite insurgent warnings to avoid the route where the explosive device was planted.
