Mohammad Salim Farahi, the acting director of the public works department in Farah, was shot and killed by unknown armed men while driving to work in the Second Police District. The government official was targeted in what appears to be an assassination while commuting to his workplace. The identities and motives of the perpetrators remain unknown.
