On February 21, 2016, six members of a family were killed when their motorcycle triggered an improvised explosive device in Waza Khwa district. According to Police Chief Zarawr Zahid, the Taliban had placed the IED on the road to target security forces, but the passing civilian motorcycle detonated it instead.
