Taliban forces attacked a local police checkpoint in Obe District, killing one police officer and taking four others prisoner. One civilian was also killed during the assault on the checkpoint. Reinforcements were requested but failed to arrive at the scene. The attack resulted in both security force casualties and civilian deaths.
