Summary

On May 31, 2018, in Omna district, a member of the Afghan National Police shot and killed a 12-year-old boy when the child refused to carry water to a checkpoint. Following this incident, a member of the Afghan Local Police reacted by shooting and killing the two Afghan National Police officers involved in the boy's murder and wounding a third officer. No one was held accountable for any of these killings as of the time of reporting.
