- Summary
On June 22, 2015, Taliban forces launched a complex attack targeting the Afghan Parliament in Kabul City. The assault included a suicide Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VB-IED), small arms fire, and rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs). The attack resulted in the deaths of one woman and one girl, and injured thirty-nine civilians, including nine women and five children. Members of Parliament were safely evacuated from the building, while most of the victims were bystanders in the vicinity of the Parliament compound. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
