On July 6, 2016, after Eid al-Fitr prayers, a suicide bomber attacked the family car of tribal leader Rahim Khan in Sangcharak district. The explosion killed four family members—two sons and two nephews of Khan—and wounded another civilian. Khan himself was not in the vehicle at the time of the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the bombing.
