Parliamentary candidate Assadullah Mashori was killed and another person was wounded when a bomb attached to Mashori's vehicle exploded in Kandahar City. The improvised explosive device was specifically targeting the political candidate, resulting in his death and injury to an accompanying individual. The perpetrators of the targeted assassination remain unidentified.
