Narrative:
On July 13, 2015, a civilian vehicle struck a pressure plate Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Saydabad District of Maidan Wardak Province. The vehicle was carrying five civilians from the same family who were returning to their home. The explosion killed two civilians and injured three others. Such IEDs were primarily used by anti-government elements, including Taliban and Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP), to impede the movement of Afghan National Defense and Security Forces.
