On September 3, 2017, gunmen loyal to rival commanders Almas and Rashid clashed during a wrestling match in Dara-I-Sufi Payan district. The armed confrontation resulted in crossfire that killed two civilians and wounded four others. According to Commander Almas, one of the uprising forces' leaders, one of his supporters was killed and two others wounded, while one gunman loyal to Commander Rashid was also killed and three others wounded. The violence stemmed from a long-standing enmity between the two commanders.
