On Thursday, April 28, 2022, the Taliban security commander and the provincial office of the General Directorate of Intelligence (GDI) for Taywara district arrested former uprising commander Mohammad Osman Malekzadeh, along with five of his relatives, including his father, son, uncle, and another relative. They were charged with being members of the anti-Taliban National Resistance Front (NRF) in Firoozkoh and were transferred to the center of Ghor province. According to Mohammad Osman Malekzadeh, the Taliban forces tortured his uncle, father, and son during their detention. No news of their release or trials has been published since then.
