On 29 April 2020, the Taliban attacked the center of Shirin Tagab District, Faryab Province, where clashes continued for six hours. One soldier and one civilian woman were killed in the attack, while an additional 15 civilians and one soldier were wounded before the Taliban were eventually pushed back by Afghan forces.
