Summary of incident

On June 2, 2016, gunmen kidnapped 17 members of the Shi'ite Hazara minority after pulling them out of their vehicles in Sancharak district. The civilians were taken to an area controlled by the Taliban. The following day, on June 3, the Taliban released all 17 abducted Hazaras.
