Narrative: On January 13, 2015, at approximately 7:30 AM local time, an explosion occurred in the Aqa Ali Shams area of the 7th Police District in Kabul City, Afghanistan. The incident resulted in at least one fatality and four injuries. Kabul police spokesman Hashmat Stanikzai confirmed the incident, stating that explosives had been planted in a civilian Toyota Corolla vehicle. However, eyewitnesses reported that an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) had been placed on the roadside at Sarak-e-Jadid of Chihel Sotoon. According to eyewitness accounts, the apparent target of the explosion was a vehicle belonging to the National Directorate of Intelligence.
