On March 21, 2019, coinciding with the Nawruz celebration marking the Persian New Year, three bomb explosions occurred in Sakhi Sherin in Kabul. The blasts, resulting from improvised explosive devices (IEDs), took place amidst a large assembly of celebrants. The tragic outcome was the loss of at least 6 lives and injuries to 23 individuals. The responsibility for the attack has not been claimed by any group or individual.
