A bomb placed on a motorcycle exploded in a market in Obe District, killing three people and wounding 20 others. Among the wounded was Rahmuddin Sarwarzai, the district governor of Aobe. Children were among both those killed and wounded in the marketplace bombing. The improvised explosive device detonated in a crowded civilian area, causing multiple casualties. The perpetrators of the attack remain unidentified.
