Summary of incident

On January 30, 2016, unknown assailants shot and killed a television journalist in eastern Afghanistan. According to Khaama news agency, a radio station allegedly established by the Islamic State extremist group had been broadcasting threatening messages targeting journalists in Nangarhar province prior to this incident.
