On November 12, 2018, a suicide attack occurred in Malik-Ashgar Square, Kabul, specifically targeting Hazara protesters who had demonstrated against the government’s negligence of the Taliban’s deadly attack on Urozgan, Malistan, and Jaghuri. Tragically, this attack resulted in the loss of six lives and left 22 others injured. The Islamic State of Iraq and Levant-Khorasan Province (ISIL-KP) claimed responsibility for the incident, asserting that their target was the Hazara community.
