Summary of incident

On April 30, 2018, unidentified gunmen shot and killed Ahmad Shah, a BBC reporter in Khost City. Shah had written critical articles about the CIA-controlled Khost Protection Force, a counter-insurgency militia operating under CIA control. No one was held accountable for this killing of a journalist who had been reporting on controversial security operations.
