Summary of incident

On May 20, 2015, a local transport vehicle struck a Pressure-Plate Improvised Explosive Device (PP-IED) in Pasaband District of Ghor Province. The explosion killed eight civilians and injured two others. The victims were traveling to the Ghor provincial capital to obtain passports for the Hajj pilgrimage when the incident occurred.
