A convoy of American forces was targeted by a car bomb in the Qala-e-Wazir area of Kabul City, reportedly wounding four Americans. Four Afghan civilians were killed and three others were wounded in the explosion. The vehicle-borne improvised explosive device was directed at the US military convoy but resulted in civilian casualties among Afghans in the vicinity of the attack.
