Summary of incident

On February 19, 2017, anti-government elements abducted two local drivers from a main road in Bar Kunar district, believing them to be government spies. The victims were held captive for over two months. On May 1, 2017, the captors shot both men dead and left their corpses in the area where they had been initially abducted.
