On March 1, 2022, the Taliban arrested Mohammad Ali, a former commander of the popular uprising forces, from Baba village in Jaghori district, Ghazni province. During his interrogation, Mohammad Ali was severely tortured, allegedly for possessing and concealing weapons. However, the primary reason for his torture appears to be his previous membership in the popular uprising forces.
