On April 21, 2021, armed militants linked to the Taliban in Ghor province intercepted a passenger minivan, known as Falankouch locally, on its way from Firozkoh, the capital city of Ghor province, to Lal-wa-Sarjangal District at the Shinya Pass of Dawlat Yar District. Four Hazara passengers, including Lal-wa-Sarjangal Agriculture Department Officer, and three university students were identified, abducted, and fatally shot.
