On March 17, 2022, the Taliban publicly humiliated a person accused of stealing from a grocery store in Firoz Koh city, the capital of Ghor province, Afghanistan. The accused was paraded around the city on a donkey back and forth, after which Taliban forces beat and tortured him to serve as a lesson of fear for others.
