Summary of incident

In August 2015, anti-government elements conducted a home invasion in Lab Dara Village, Shuhada district of Badakhshan Province. The perpetrators executed a policewoman and her husband by firing squad inside their home, forcing the couple's children to witness the killings. The female victim worked at the police headquarters in Baharak District.
