A remote-controlled improvised explosive device (IED) detonated on a bus in Sayed Square, Mazar-e-Sharif, resulting in the tragic loss of 15 civilians. The majority of the victims were employees at the Hairatan port in the northern province of Balkh, near the Uzbekistan border. The explosion occurred during the early morning hours as employees were boarding the bus. Additionally, the incident left a dozen individuals injured.
