Acknowledgements
This legal report is the outcome of collaborative efforts by various departments of
the Afghanistan Human Rights and Democracy Organization (AHRDO). Ghulam
Sakhi has drafted the report; Hjalmar Joffre-Eichhorn, Dr. Haidar Allamah and
Huma Saeed contributed to the arts-based, legal and advocacy components of the
report. Hadi Marifat has assisted in developing its overall framework. Zahra
Yagana, Mohammad Zaman Khoshnam, Mohammad Salim Rajabi, Mohammad
Jaweed Mohammadi, Benafshah Paikan and Dr. Nik Mohammad Sharif prepared
material related to the Legislative Theater, public consultations and referenda.
AHRDO’s Mazar-e Sharif Regional Office played an active part in implementing
the program in Balkh and the Kabul office played support role throughout the
project. Needless to say that the implementation of this project would not have
been possible without the support and hard work of all AHRDO staff members
and AHRDO sincerely thank them all for their cooperation.
Moreover, AHRDO is grateful for the support provided by the Afghanistan
Independent Human Rights Commission in Herat, Bamiyan & Nangarhar, and
the support of the Department of Women’s Affairs in Bamiyan, Nangarhar, Kabul
as well as the Education Departments in Kabul and Balkh for their cooperation in
facilitating the conduct of public theatre performances.
