On December 30, 2018, Afghan and US forces conducted a night raid in Sulemanzi village of Dih Yak district. According to one media report, three civilians were killed and four others arrested. However, local residents told Afghanistan Analysts Network that two Taliban fighters were killed and four civilians were arrested. The forces also destroyed a private clinic, a house, and three mosques during the operation. The conflicting accounts highlight uncertainty about whether those killed were civilians or combatants.
