- Summary of incident
ISIL-KP detonated a magnetic improvised explosive device attached to a bus transporting university students, killing a child who was working as a street vendor and injuring 10 civilians. ISIL-KP then detonated secondary improvised explosive devices targeting first responders arriving at the scene. A third bomb also exploded during the incident. The second and third bombs killed one additional civilian and wounded 14 people. Two journalists who arrived to cover the first explosion were among those wounded in the subsequent blasts.
