From August 15, 2021, to August 2023, thirteen mysterious murders occurred in Jaghouri. Despite the severity of these incidents, the Taliban has conducted no investigations. As the only armed group in the area, and the Taliban’s refusal to investigate has led people to suspect and attribute these murders to them. The victims were from various parts of Jaghouri, including Central Jaghouri, Sabzchob, Mujir, Siah Buta, Mamdak or Gardne-e-Sang, and one individual from Uruzgan province who was also killed in Jaghouri.
