In Qaws (November-December 2021), Mustafa, a resident of Jaghouri district center, was arrested by the Taliban on the orders of Mullah Pirouz, the former Security Chief of Taliban in Jaghouri District. Mustafa had served as member of security focres in Ghazni during the previous regime, known as the Republic. Upon the Republic’s fall, he surrendered all his military equipment to the Taliban in Ghazni. However, the Taliban demanded an additional weapon from him in Jaghouri. Mustafa was only released after paying 30,000 Afghanis in exchange for a receipt for the weapon.
