The Taliban attacked the vehicle of General Said Ahmad Babazai, the police chief on Khost Province, with a roadside bomb, killing him, his bodyguard, and his secretary in the Khwaja Raheem area of Nadersha Kot District. Another officer was wounded in the attack.
